Ashtanga Yoga is a legendary practice of dynamic Raja Yoga, transmitted by Sri K Pattabhi Jois. Raja Yoga seeks to focus the mind to reach a state of harmony. In Ashtanga, we learn to focus our mind using the body (yoga postures, breathing sound (Ujjayi Uranayama), different gazing points(Dristi) and physiological locks (Bhandas). We go from the most material and physical, the body, to the most subtle and intangible, the mind.

Throughout our lives we polute our body and mind with toxins . A newborn is pure, his mind and his body are developing. In the natural process of growth, we accumulate fears, tensions and all kinds of physical and emotional problems. The practice of Ashtanga Yoga helps us to cleanse and purify all our body, it helps eliminate both physical and emotional tension and brings us closer to that state of initial purity of our lives. When we remove the veil from our minds, we are free and light, life is good.

'In Ashtanga we sweat !!! We generate internal heat, this we can only do with breathing and postures. We clean our body from the inside out.

The method of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is divided into three series: First, Intermediate and Advanced A, B, C and D

First series (Yoga Chikitsa): readjust, reduce toxins and purifies the internal organs. Intermediate series (Nadhi sodhana): purifies the energetic and nervous system. Advanced series (Sthira Bhaga): develops strength and stability.

The classes are structured so that each student understands the correct sequence of postures and breathing technique, individually adjusting the pace to gradually advance in the practice.
